Wainfleet All Saints Town Council Meeting
Minutes from the Extraordinary Meeting of the Town Council held on Tuesday 1st August at 17:45 at the council offices, 50 High Street, Wainfleet All Saints.
Councillors present : Steve Mitchell (SM), Wendy Bowkett (WB), Jean Hart (JH), Don Kettleborough (DK)
Also Present : Colin Cleary (CC) – Clerk.
Vice-chair SM welcomed all to the meeting and opened the council session at 17:45 hrs.
1. Election of Chair
To elect a chair for Wainfleet All Saints Town Council.
Following the resignation of the previous chair, SM called for any nominations for the position of Chair/Mayor. Cllr. S. Mitchell was nominated for the post and accepted the nomination. No other nominations received.
PROPOSED, SECONDED and RESOLVED to elect Cllr. S.Mitchell as Chair of the Town Council.
Cllr. SM duly signed the acceptance of office in the presence of Clerk CC.
2. Election of vice-chair
To discuss and elect if necessary, a vice-chair of Wainfleet All Saints Town Council.
Mayor SM called for nominations for the position of vice-chair of the town council. Cllr. WB was proposed as vice chair. No other nominations were received.
PROPOSED, SECONDED and RESOLVED to elect Cllr. W.Bowkett as Vice- Chair of the Town Council.
There being no further business, Mayor SM closed the meeting at 17:50 hrs.
