Draft Notes from the Extraordinary Meeting of the Town Council held on Friday 23rd August at 09:00 at the council offices, 50 High Street, Wainfleet All Saints. 
 
Councillors present: Cllr. Steve Mitchell (SM), Cllr. Christine Mitchell (CM), Cllr. Jean Hart (JH), Cllr. Wendy Bowkett (WB), Cllr. Wayne Langdon (WL), Cllr. W. Hatchman (WL). 
 
Apologies : Cllr. Samuel Storey-Taylor (SST), Cllr. M. Clarke (MC), Cllr. C. Drury (CD), Cllr S. Drury (SD).
 
Also present : Clerk C. Cleary (CC). 
 
Mayor SM welcomed everyone and opened the meeting at 8.50am.
 
1. Apologies for absence.
To receive and accept apologies where valid reasons for absence have been given to the Town Clerk prior to the meeting.
Clerk had received apologies from Cllrs. SST, MC, CD and SD all accepted by council.
 
 
2. Declarations of interest
To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 (Members must declare any personal interest in any item on the agenda and state whether they are also prejudiced. In the case of personal interest, the member may speak and vote on the matter. In the case of prejudicial interests, the member must withdraw while the matter is discussed.)
None declared.
 
3. To finalise the completion of the purchase of 62A High Street.
To review and approve the steps to complete the purchase of and move to the new council offices at 62A High Street.
Clerk CC advised that the necessary paperwork was now ready to proceed with the completion of the purchase of 62A High Street. Discussion on next steps.
PROPOSED, SECONDED and RESOLVED to draw down the loan from the PWLB, to make payment of the completion amount to the council s solicitor and to serve notice to the landlords of the current council offices.
 
4. To discuss and decide if an insurance claim for the damaged covering in the play area.
To review the costs of the repair and decide if an insurance claim is required to effect the repair.
Discussion on the damaged area. Cllr. WB advised that further damage has been caused to the area that will require repair. Clerk CC advised that an additional police crime number would be required if an insurance claim was to be made. Discussion on how to proceed. Cllr. WB to provide clerk with details of alternate supplier. Mayor SM to contact police to obtain new crime number. Clerk to contact supplier to arrange site visit to review the area.
To be discussed at next full council meeting when more information is available.
