The Town Council has three working groups whose terms of reference and members are determined by full council. These working groups may contain non-council members, with the exception of the Finance & Administration working group,which advises council on the regulation and control of the finances of the council. The working groups are as follows:

Frequency of meetings : April, July, September, December as a minimum with other meetings as required.

Areas of responsibility : Finance, Council policies and administration, planning.

Properties and Amenities

Members: Mayor S. Mitchell, Cllr. M.Clarke, Cllr. W.Hatchman, Cllr. C.Mitchell

Frequency of meetings : Monthly.

Areas of responsibility : Allotments & Trees, Cemeteries & Burials, Marketplace, Play area

Marketing & Promotions

Members : Mayor S.Mitchell, Cllr. C.Mitchell, Cllr. C.Drury, Cllr. S.Drury, Cllr. W. Bowkett, Cllr. M.Clarke

Areas of responsibilities : Events, Markets, Christmas lighting, Media, Publicity.
